Terms & Conditions

1. About this service

Chadawa Setu ("we", "us") is a service that performs a chadawa (offering of coconut and bel patra) on your behalf at the Mahakaleshwar Mandir, Ujjain, when you are unable to travel there yourself, and sends you video proof of the offering. Chadawa Setu is an independent service and is not run, operated, or endorsed by the Mahakaleshwar Temple Trust or any temple authority.

2. What we do and do not promise

We promise to perform the offering in your name and send you proof of it. We do not and cannot promise any particular outcome, wish fulfilment, or spiritual result. No statement on this website, in our WhatsApp messages, or made by anyone on our behalf should be understood as a guarantee that your wish (manokamna) will be granted.

3. Booking and payment

When you place an order, the price shown at the time of booking is charged in full, in Indian Rupees, via our payment partner Razorpay. We do not store your card, UPI, or net-banking credentials — these are handled directly by Razorpay under its own security and compliance standards.

4. Turnaround and refunds

We aim to send you the video proof of your offering within the turnaround time shown at booking (48 hours for the standard service). If you do not receive the video within that window, you are entitled to a full refund of the amount paid, with no questions asked. Refunds are issued to the original payment method and may take 5–7 working days to reflect in your account.

Once an offering has been performed and proof has been sent within the promised window, the order is considered complete and is not eligible for a refund on the basis of dissatisfaction with a spiritual or personal outcome, since no such outcome is promised (see Section 2).

5. Gifted orders

If you book an offering as a gift for someone else, you are responsible for the accuracy of the recipient's details you provide. The refund policy in Section 4 applies to the person who paid for the order.

6. Communication

Order confirmations, reminders, and proof of your offering are sent over WhatsApp to the phone number you provide at booking. You are responsible for providing a correct, active WhatsApp number — we are not liable for messages that fail to reach you because of an incorrect number you supplied.

7. Prohibited use

You agree not to submit false devotee details, impersonate another person without their knowledge (other than for a genuine gift booking), or use this service for any unlawful purpose.

8. Limitation of liability

Except for the refund guarantee in Section 4, our liability for any claim arising from your use of this service is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant order.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The refund guarantee and the no-outcome promise in Sections 2 and 4 will not be removed or weakened for orders already placed.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
